I have spent my career inside growing operations.
My job is to see the whole system, make the problem legible, and build enough structure that the company keeps moving without heroics.
Robin Schaffer, founder of Ladyville Consulting
There is a stretch where the vision starts to outpace the infrastructure.
Priorities multiply faster than anyone can sequence them. Decisions stay open. Team members and vendors do their individual jobs, but nobody owns the space between those jobs. Eventually the founder becomes the connective tissue for the entire company. That is where I work.
I have spent my career in operating roles across growing organizations, including Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief of Staff seats in business process outsourcing (BPO), freight technology, biotech, background screening, and international operations. The organizations ranged from a 3-person pre-seed team to companies with more than 2,000 employees, and I spent 4 years as the operational right hand to a founder.
I hold a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Oxford and have published peer-reviewed research on institutional alignment. That research thread still shows up in my work. I am interested in the gap between what an organization says it is trying to do and the structure that determines what actually happens.
See my research and resourcesSenior enough to see the system, practical enough to get into it.
I am most useful when the problem crosses functions and cannot be solved by optimizing one department in isolation.
Clarity before activity
Diagnose the actual constraint before adding another project, hire, system, or vendor.
Structure without bureaucracy
Build the minimum operating system required for the team to move with confidence.
Work that holds up
Everything I build has to survive a normal, busy Monday morning without me in the room.
The work should make a difference.
“This is the momentum that we needed, and you were very, very instrumental in making this happen for us. You made a difference. You made an absolute difference.”
“Lives are being saved and affected forever, and you are part of making that difference.”
Bring me the problem before you know the solution.
The first call is for figuring out what is stuck, not for fitting your situation into a service package.
